Quotations and specific examples show sound grasp of the text (AO2). A good awareness of context, with Wollstonecraft connection (AO4). Mention of Safie demonstrates an awareness of the other side of the question but needs development (AO3).

For an A grade

  • Develop the alternative perspective on women represented by Safie.
  • Make further and deeper analysis of language and narrative. Why do no women narrate?
  • Express ideas more clearly and develop them in more detail.
