Comment

AO1 Fluently written and clearly structured

AO2 Good knowledge of the text – chooses quotations from the extract well and quotes relevantly from the rest of the play. Interprets the visual aspects of the scene in some detail and pays useful attention to all the characters, not just those taking centre stage.

AO3 Shows awareness of a wider context, notably the marriage debates of the time.

AO5 Useful references to critics and not afraid to take issue with them at times. Good use of comic terminology which is closely related throughout to dramatic method.
