Comment

This shows a clear grasp of the basic elements in the scene and the attitudes of the two characters. Comment is generally supported and the student focuses on some of the key moments in the scene. The student relies quite heavily on a narrative approach. Overall comments are accurate but underdeveloped and sometimes irrelevant.

For a B grade

  • Use more supporting evidence, i.e. quotations, specifically from the extract in question.
  • Provide more links and interpretations and less narrative re-telling.
  • Try to employ more sophisticated expression – develop ideas rather than making simple statements.
